How to enter:
Vote and send a comment to your favourite band and you will have a
chance to meet them for the day where ever they live. We are giving one fan
(plus a friend) a free trip to anywhere in the world to meet their favourite band
with £800 spending money. Once a band receives 30,000 votes the lucky fan
that voted and sent a comment will have a chance to win. To be eligible to win
you must send a comment after you have voted.

All video entries will stay on the site for as long as it takes to get the votes!  If after one year you wish to take your winnings as they stand you may do so.

These milestones have been put in place for the bands/artist to win some
of their money along the way (without having to wait for the 1,000,000) but
they can pullout after one year if they wish and take all their votes/money
with them.

All the votes/money goes to the bands/artist. (themillionpoundsong.com
does not keep any of the winnings) The milestones have been set
up in this way so that we can present the band/artist with a big fat cheque
and get them as much publicity as possible. This can only be achieved with
a nice cheque at the end of it.

All entries have a chance to win the following: 
(While you are climbing the charts with votes, there are milestone prizes
along the way towards the ONE MILLION POUNDS)

  • 1,000 votes  for your video and you will win £200 
     
  • 5,000 votes for your video and you will win £1,000 
     
  • 10,000 votes for your video and you will win £3,000 
     
  • 30,000 votes  for your video and you will win £10,000 
     
  • 50,000 votes for your video and you will win £20,000 
     
  • 200,000 votes for your video and you will win £100,000 
     
  • 1,000,000 votes for your video and you will win £1,000,000

If your song successfully receives one million votes you will receive £615,800.
This is equal to £1,000,000 minus the proceeding milestones prizes which you will have won along the way (to the sum of £384,200) - bringing your total winnings to £1,000,000.

Click here to download a programme called Media Converter, it's brilliant! Then go to the bottom of their page and click on  the download link and get Version 0.8

Here's how to use it, it's simple and quick!
Click open to find your video file.
Select a folder to where you want to send it.
Click File type - and scroll down to avi

Then go to the Settings box.
Video Resolution - find 320 x 240
Audio Bitrate - 128
Video Bitrate - 192
Then click convert! Find your file and upload it.
